Depeche Mode & Peter Bjorn & John in Atlanta

Got tickets for Depeche Mode tomorrow in Atlanta at Lakewood Amphitheater. Hope the weather is okay, as we'll be sitting in lawn seats. I was happy to hear that Peter Bjorn & John are opening for them. One of my favorite remixes right now is PBJ's song "It Don't Move Me", remixed by The Knocks. Enjoy...

Music That Makes You Bump in the Night

We rocked it out at Tryst last Friday. I tell you...after the storm came through Midtown Atlanta, the people started coming. We got down well into the late night. There were still people dancing well after bar time. They just didn't want to stop. Here are some pics taken by our very own c diesel. You can check out her work on Facebook.

Felix Da Housecat & P Diddy Collaboration : LECTRO BLACK

This is an amazing mixtape. P Diddy rhyming on top of Felix’s dirty electro synths and beats. Hi hats and lots of synth stabs. Great collaboration. This mixtape should be listened to by everyone who is a fan of electro, Felix, P Diddy and just good dance music in general.

The mixtape can be downloaded here. Don't sleep, yo!

Well, I did it! I signed up for Clear Wimax

I just signed up for Clear WiMAX service here in Atlanta. They are having a deal to get both the Home and Mobile service bundled together. I’m fed up with DSL and really don’t want to deal with Comcast. I’m gonna give it a go. Will keep you all posted on the quality of service and download times, etc. It’s gotta be better than what I got now.

Videos of Festival: Arriving into Manchester & Ulverston

We took lots of video during our trip to the NKT Summer Festival in England and didn't have much access to internet. So just sorting through them now. These two videos capture the general flood of Kadampas that hit England on the first day of the Festival. Most are from the States and just arriving in Manchester. We then take the train 2 hours north to Ulverston. We are all very tired, having just been on an overnight flight, but excited to be arriving at Festival.

In this video we have flooded the platform at the Manchester Train Station. When the train arrived, we were literally piling suitcases and bags in every available space. The poor locals on the way into Manchester who tried to board the train didn't know what was going on. We had filled every seat and all the entrances were packed with bags. But it all worked just fine in the end.

In this video, we've all just arrived in Ulverston and are awaiting taxis to get us the few miles to Manjushri Center, the site of the festival. The taxis in Ulverston get a boon of business when the Kadampas arrive for these 2 weeks.

Loads of more videos from Festival life to come....

Tryst With Me, Lovers! - August 21st

Tryst was conceived as a special club night in Midtown Atlanta, at Bellissima Lounge, where lovers can meet to get down and get dirty. It's my job, as the DJ, to play the most conducive music for lovers to get down to. Now don't get me wrong! I don't want y'all to get down so much that you gotta leave. Cuz we rockin' the joint to the wee hours of the night. Think of it as the best kinda foreplay. :)

Don't miss the next one: Friday, August 21st : 10:30pm: Bellissima Lounge: 560 -B Amsterdam Ave: Atlanta

The first Tryst night got off to a great start in July. Below are some pics of the lovely loverness that took place.

Come join us, lovers. I know you wanna...

The Hogwarts of Buddhism

We have come to the conclusion that Manjushri Centre here in England is the Hogwarts of Buddhism. There are so many mystical things about the place, including stairs that lead to nowhere and many new passageways. Even the train platform that let's us off here is like that in the books.

There are also many interesting people who are studying the most profound topics such as how to transform the most ordinary and uninspiring things into great meaning and bliss; spiritual alchemy!!!

We are having an amazing time. Seeing old friends and making new ones. Even though there are about 5000 people in a place that normally holds about 3000 at it's max, things are running smoothly. The Atlanta crew are volunteering as marshalls. Hence, the bright orange vests in some of the pics. We are making sure that the traffic of people flow smoothly and we keep the long 'queues' in order. Great practice!

 Time to turn in now.
